Fritz Wahlfield Jr.

CEO

Fritz Jr. is the Chief Executive Officer and a partner of FWC, and a second-generation owner with over 40 years of experience in the construction industry. After graduating from Kenowa Hills High School, he joined the family business along side his father, Fritz Wahlfield Sr. His decades of hands-on experience bring valuable perspective to even the most challenging projects. Known for his attention to detail, Fritz Jr. stays closely involved throughout each project to ensure the company’s core values are evident in both the work and the relationships formed along the way. He is committed to building long-term relationships with clients, allowing him to serve them with greater care and understanding.

Fritz Jr. takes great pride in being part of the family business that bears his name and operates on the foundation of the home where he grew up. “This building serves as a reminder that this company is rooted in family values and that our customers are family,” says Fritz Jr. For him, the space is a daily reminder of the values, history, and relationships the company was built upon.

Fritz Jr. is married to Liz Wahlfield (since 1983) and they have 3 children, Fritz III, Bryan, and Katelynn, as well as 5 grandchildren. When Fritz is not working, he enjoys traveling with Liz, spending time with the grandkids and family, and hunting and fishing. When you stop by his office you will see an impressive collection of “trophy“ mounts from various fishing and hunting trips he has taken. Including a 5 billfish from a trip with Liz to Costa Rica.

Fritz Wahlfield III

President

Fritz Wahlfield III is the President of FWC and also a partner of the company as a third-generation owner. Fritz grew up around the family business and started "pushing a broom" as far back as he can remember. While growing up, Fritz found his passion in being a part of the company and in the construction industry. After high school he went on to Ferris State University to obtain his Associates degree in Construction Management. Following graduation in 2004, he came back to the family business starting as a crew foreman, and over time he worked his way through the company to eventually becoming President in 2024.

Fritz’s favorite part of his role is working directly with clients to help bring their vision to life. He believes this begins with building strong relationships, which he considers critical to the success of every project. Fritz spends much of his time overseeing K–12 projects, where his focus is on ensuring all students have exceptional spaces in which to learn and grow.

Fritz has three sons: Otto, Emmett, and Kincade. He is an avid hunter and fisherman who truly loves the great outdoors and spends as much of his time as he can enjoying it. When he is not working, Fritz enjoys spending time with his boys who share his love of hunting and fishing, as well as sports. As they have grown, he has enjoyed getting to coach their baseball and football teams while reliving his joys as a dedicated athlete himself.
