Wahlfield Park Improvements and New Dog Park Development

If you’re familiar with the Comstock Park and Alpine area, you’ve probably seen the name “Wahlfield” more than once—and one of those places is Wahlfield Park at Alpine and 8 Mile.

The park is named after Fritz Sr. and Marlene Wahlfield, who donated the original 50 acres that started it all. Today, it’s become a popular destination for hiking and mountain biking—and soon, it will be home to one of the largest dog parks in the county.

We’re proud to be part of the ongoing improvements at Wahlfield Park, including the construction of new bath houses and dog wash buildings.

A big THANK YOU to the Kent County Parks Department and all of our partners for their generosity and collaboration in bringing this project to life! 💛
