At a Glance:

The Life EMS Shelby Sub-Station was constructed to expand emergency medical services coverage for Shelby and the surrounding communities. This first responder facility was designed to support rapid response operations while providing essential living and working spaces for EMS personnel.

The sub-station includes a fully functional two-bedroom living quarters, along with a bathroom, kitchen, dining area, and living space, creating a comfortable and efficient environment for on-duty staff. These features support extended shifts and ensure readiness for emergency response at all times.

The project also involved extensive site development across approximately five acres, including necessary county road resurfacing to improve access and accommodate emergency vehicle traffic. Additional infrastructure enhancements ensure long-term functionality and ease of operation.

Complementing the main facility is a 600-square-foot garage, which includes a large storage area and washer/dryer units, supporting both equipment storage and daily operational needs.

This project highlights a comprehensive approach to EMS station construction and public safety infrastructure, delivering a durable, functional, and strategically located facility to serve the Shelby region.
