At a Glance:

Site improvements were completed at Hamilton Elementary School to address ongoing stormwater runoff and erosion issues impacting the slope adjacent to a neighboring property owned by River Valley Management. This K-12 sitework project focused on improving drainage performance, stabilizing the landscape, and protecting surrounding property.

The project included a comprehensive upgrade to the existing storm sewer system, with the installation of new piping, drainage structures, and outlet connections to more effectively manage water flow across the site. In addition, the grading and profile of the hillside were reshaped to capture runoff and direct it safely into the stormwater system.

To further enhance stability and prevent future erosion, a retaining wall was constructed at the base of the slope, providing structural support and long-term protection for both the school property and adjacent land.

This project demonstrates a targeted approach to school site development and stormwater management, delivering a durable solution that improves drainage, reduces erosion, and supports the long-term performance of the site.
