In 2021, Hamilton Elementary School, part of the Kentwood Public Schools district, completed a targeted interior renovation project focused on improving staff spaces, including the faculty lounge and faculty workroom. This K-12 school renovation was designed to enhance functionality, comfort, and overall usability for teachers and administrative staff.
The faculty lounge renovation included a complete redesign to create a more welcoming and user-friendly environment for staff lunches, collaboration, and daily breaks. Upgrades featured new flooring, fresh interior paint, and updated casework, replacing outdated cabinetry with modern, durable finishes. A second access door was also added, providing direct connectivity between the lounge and adjacent administration offices for improved circulation and convenience.
In addition to the lounge improvements, the faculty workroom was reconfigured to better support staff needs and accommodate new office space. The updated layout includes three new office cubicles, creating dedicated areas for focused work and small-group collaboration.
A new furniture package was installed throughout both spaces, offering a variety of seating options that support flexibility, comfort, and different work styles. These enhancements provide a refreshed, functional environment that improves the day-to-day experience for faculty and staff.
This project highlights a thoughtful approach to school interior renovations, delivering practical upgrades that support both productivity and staff well-being within a modern educational facility.
