At a Glance:
This project involved the transformation of existing classroom and office space into a modernized office layout and science learning environment within a 700,000-square-foot high school facility. This project at East Kentwood High School was designed to support a growing student population while improving both administrative operations and specialized educational spaces.
The newly reconfigured office area now serves as a central hub for security and visitor check-in for the West Wing of the building, enhancing school safety, access control, and operational efficiency. The updated layout provides a streamlined flow for staff, students, and visitors while supporting daily administrative functions.
In addition to the office renovation, a new science classroom and lab space was created to support advanced coursework in Geology and Petrology (the study of rocks). The classroom features new exterior windows for increased natural light, along with custom casework, polished flooring, and modern educational equipment designed to enhance hands-on learning and student engagement.
This project highlights a strategic approach to school interior renovation and specialized classroom construction, combining administrative upgrades, security enhancements, and STEM-focused learning environments within a large-scale educational facility.
