At a Glance:

During the summer of 2024, we completed a comprehensive servery and food service renovation project at Macatawa Bay Middle School, modernizing its dining and meal preparation space to better serve students and staff. This K-12 kitchen upgrade focused on improving efficiency, functionality, and the overall dining experience.

The project included the complete removal and replacement of existing food service equipment, introducing state-of-the-art commercial kitchen systems such as a pizza station, salad bar, Mongolian BBQ station, and additional serving components. These upgrades provide a more diverse and engaging meal service environment.

To support the new layout, the ceiling systems and flooring were fully replaced, ensuring proper accommodation of equipment and improved durability. Additional enhancements included the installation of new lighting and a roof-top unit (RTU) to improve ventilation, comfort, and energy efficiency within the space.

The project also required modifications to building systems, including the rerouting and renovation of the fire protection system to align with the updated kitchen design and equipment placement.

This project highlights a strategic approach to school cafeteria and servery renovation, delivering a modern, high-performance food service facility that supports both operational efficiency and student satisfaction.
