Waukazoo Elementary School completed a comprehensive interior renovation and classroom addition project between 2023 and 2024, enhancing both the existing facility and expanding learning capacity. This K-12 construction project combined building system upgrades with new classroom construction to support a growing student population.

Interior renovations took place during the summer of 2023 and included the installation of new carpet flooring throughout classrooms and corridors, creating a refreshed and cohesive learning environment. In addition, the project involved the replacement of water supply piping throughout the building, improving infrastructure reliability and long-term performance.

Following the interior upgrades, construction began in fall 2023 on a 2,800-square-foot classroom addition, which was completed in May 2024. The new addition was designed to align with recent projects at Pine Creek and Great Lakes Elementary Schools, ensuring consistency in layout, functionality, and architectural design across the district.

Each new classroom features an in-classroom restroom, exposed ceiling design, and a signature corner bump-out with built-in bench seating and storage, maximizing both functionality and natural light. These elements create a bright, flexible learning environment that supports student engagement and modern teaching methods.
